We stayed at The Palms after a safari in Tanzania. We thought that nothing could top the beauty and luxury of Ngorongoro Crater Lodge and the other safari lodges, but we were wrong! Our banda at The Palms (all 1400 square feet of it!) was amazing, the views were absolutely spectacular, and the service and staff were the best we have ever experienced. We had one of the best meals of our lives there but, more than anything, we were able truly relax and simply enjoy the beauty and wonder of this incredible location.
We loved the fact that there are only 6 bandas (so there are only 12 guests in the resort). As a result, we had wonderful privacy and seclusion (which spells r-o-m-a-n-c-e). When we wanted activities, we simply went to the Reefs, which is right next door (you get full use of the Reefs’ facilities). We went scuba diving, sailing, etc., next door then, when we wanted to, we simply went back to the Palms for unparalleled luxury and privacy.
On top of the luxury and privacy, the staff is the very BEST. They were always attentive, but somehow also managed to be inconspicuous. They must only hire people with ESP, because they seemed to know what we wanted or needed before we did!
Perhaps the best thing I can say about The Palms is that it is probably the only place we have ever stayed where we would not change a single thing. It was absolute perfection. the only bad thing about it was that we had to leave!
